Role Summary – HR Business Partner
The Interim Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will be a strategic consultative business partner for the US Global Exhibitions in the Central Region. This position will work closely with senior management team members to develop and retain employees through planning, developing and implementing HR Initiatives including talent management, performance management, career development, recruitment, employee relations, training and development.
This position will partner with other US HR Business Partners and cross-functional teams across Recruiting, HR Service Delivery Team and L&D, on projects and best practices.
The Interim HR Business Partner will also need to be able to offer advice and guidance on HR policies to all colleagues and managers within their region and handle ER issues.
The HRBP will ensure that all company policies are adhered to and must also ensure that duties are carried out within set time limits whilst providing an excellent level of service to all Informa customers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
The Interim HR Business Partner is expected to assume the following key responsibilities plus any other reasonable duties as required:
• Provide HR Partnership and support for employeesin assigned region.
• Work with VP level & below to drive a talent strategy across the division, to include identification of top talent and the overall career development of employees.
• Drive the annual performance management process including calibration of talent across a variety of different verticals. Proactively ensure all performance and career goals are properly entered in the system.
• Conducts internal investigations and facilitate resolutions regarding employee relations issues.
• Guide and make recommendations to managers on employee PIP (Performance Improvement Program) as needed.
• Interpret human resources policies and procedures for consistency, compliance and efficiency.
• Facilitates Employee involuntary changes and organizational change discussions.
• Ensure reporting structures, job titles, and employee changes are correctly communicated to the HR Service Delivery Specialists.
• Be a role model for employee engagement, collaboration, and communication across all areas of the business. Drive and Co-lead employee engagement action plans.
• Analyze Human Resources key metrics (turnover, exit interviews, days to fill positions, etc.) and utilize data for process improvements
• Partner with management to prepare and maintain job descriptions for each position and ensure accurate descriptions are provided to HR Service Delivery Specialists.
• Answer general HR quires and resolves issues in a timely manner
• Liaises with Benefits Manager on related topics
• Report Worker’s compensation and Safety claims.
• Conduct Onboarding meetings and facility tours.
People Management Responsibilities:
• Motivate and lead your assigned business unit to follow company strategy and operating models
• Ensure two-way communication structures are in place between HR and the assigned business unit
• Ensure that recruitment needs are identified and work within the guidelines of the operating model when necessary
• Work collaboratively across teams/businesses
• Act as a role model to others
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
• 3-5 Years of HRBP/Generalist experience in a matrix organization
• Strong understanding of US employment laws
• Previous experience in Exhibitions or Media Industry Is highly desired
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and coach employees and managers
• Must be able to travel 20% of the time
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong business acumen
• Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and prioritize accordingly
• Thrive in fast paced environment with multiple priorities
• Time Management skills
• Execution-focused, with strong attention to detail
• Ability to get into the details when necessary, but also see the larger picture and help drive strategy
• Flexibility and the ability to adjust to a constantly changing work environment
• Strong organizational skills
• PHR or SPHR Certification highly desired
