Job Summary
This individual contributor position will focus on identifying and project managing performance solutions for the North America Operations Organization within CenturyLink. You will collaborate with business leaders, Learning & Development (L&D) managers, and other leads across this business unit to project manage broad scale learning initiatives. The ideal candidate will be skilled in a variety of MS Office applications (SharePoint, Excel, Word, PPT), have excellent time management/project management skills, and a thorough and deep Learning & Development background. Although mentoring and facilitation is part of this position, it will primarily be focused on the coordination of broad scale training deployment initiatives.
Job Description
• Partners with business leaders and L&D managers to understand learning challenges, skill gaps, and performance concerns.
• Partners with the instructional design team to oversee the design of training curricula; review training outlines, coordinate SMEs, project owners, review of materials, etc. for broad scale training initiatives.
• Drives implementation of large scale, complex initiatives for the assigned organization.
• Conceptualizes future learning strategies by providing actionable recommendations to leaders.
• Assesses the environment for the purpose of business process improvement.
• Conducts training needs analyses and prioritizes requests based on the critical business issues.
• Demonstrates strong business acumen to identify the most appropriate performance solution for the stated performance concern.
• Delivers training programs utilizing strong facilitation skills.[HRL1]
• Obtains and evaluates metrics associated with training programs and assists L&D managers in making recommendations based on the data provided.
• Evaluates effectiveness and develops strategies to address root cause of business unit and corporate performance issues.
• Utilizes critical thinking and needs assessment skills to analyze, problem solve, and improve processes.
• Acts as change agent for internal customers in development of solutions.
• Certifies other instructors on assigned materials by providing feedback to both delivery style and knowledge necessary to instruct on identified topics.
• Exercises considerable latitude in decision-making. May work with outside vendors to identify/schedule programs and support materials.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree required in related field.
• 6+ years of overall experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years' overall experience with a Master's Degree
• 5+ years’ experience in training and development function.
• Documented project management expertise handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Detailed knowledge and application of learning analysis, performance consulting, or organizational development.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and communicate with various levels of leaders throughout the organization.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Experience:
• Creating business cases for new development programs / needs.
• Expert MS Office skills (2016) with MS project, Excel, SharePoint, PPT, and Word.
Location:
This is a primarily virtual position with no more than 20% travel. Ideal candidate will be located near a large metropolitan area for ease of travel but will primarily work from home.
