Position Overview
The National Director of Warehouse Operations is responsible for managing and overseeing assigned locations in the US/Canada network. Responsibilities include all of the facility projects, rentals, warehouse functions, and customer service for internal stakeholders. The National Director works as a key member of the distribution management team to manage divisional warehousing and logistics in cooperation with other divisional managers. They are also responsible for the development and execution of a business management strategy which includes staffing, compliance, rentals, logistics, fleet, purchasing, inventory control, asset management, and customer service to support company growth and profitability. This role will report to the VP, Asset Management & Warehouse Operations.
Position can be housed in Dallas, TX or Chicago, IL
Key Job Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & People Management
• Directly manage warehouse operations.
• Increase operational effectiveness by managing direct reports and communicating values, strategies, and objectives aligned with organizational goals.
• Evaluate the team’s efficiency and productivity.
• Develop and execute strategic operational plans by reviewing ongoing state of the operations, identifying areas of opportunities, and implementing new elements to achieve company objectives.
• Work with direct reports to improve overall service while driving efficiencies through process improvement and best practices including, but not limited to, order processing, QC & repair, warehouse processes, and overall logistics.
• Establish clear management expectations regarding responsibilities, behaviors, and daily activities.
• Work with others in the department and outside partners to design existing and new warehouse operations.
Asset Management
• Directly manage Regional Equipment Managers and work with them to assess product utilization, demand, and costs which include transportation, maintenance, and operational costs.
• Assemble and execute strategies to maximize utilization and lower inventory costs through more efficient allocation and to achieve maximum fill rates with company-owned assets.
• Work closely with the Asset Management team to assemble divisional capital requirements with an aim towards minimizing external costs and maximizing utilization and high-yield investments.
• Review existing quality control and repair standards and work to maximize owned inventory uptime.
P&L Management
• Manage divisional P&Ls and oversee day to day operational costs.
• Analyze financial data to ensure all operations are running efficiently and within budget parameters.
• Identify variances between actual and budgeted spend and adjust priorities to meet financial goals and expectations.
• Develop budgetary guidelines and procedures for direct reports.
• Prepare future budget forecasts and provide recommendations that improve asset profitability, service, and product mix.
• Allocate budgeted resources for equipment, personnel, fleet, and facilities.
Customer Service & Reporting
• Generate regular divisional reporting packages that contain performance KPIs, customer service metrics, and pertinent updates for internal customers and local leadership teams.
• Gather feedback from field operations on service opportunities, product mix, and availability.
• Host frequent calls and in-person meetings with regional leadership teams to evaluate existing performance and discuss ongoing challenges.
• Incorporate applicable customer recommendations into existing processes in an effort to improve overall customer service.
Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in warehouse or supply chain management.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with budgets and direct P&L responsibility.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet or exceed multiple concurrent deadlines.

Work Environment
Warehouse
Work is performed at event venues as well as in a warehouse environment. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by PSAV based in a warehouse environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area. When in the Warehouse, work will be completed in an environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members may use high-end audio visual equipment and electrical components. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
