eFax Corporate® 2018 Marketing Intern Program
Corporate Fax Marketing within the Cloud division of j2 Global, Inc., a global provider of business cloud and digital media services provides the world’s leading online fax provider and helps thousands of companies in highly-regulated industries, transmit and manage sensitive documents efficiently and securely.
This winter, we have one opportunity for an intern to work with the customer marketing team and sales members to gain in practical research, appending data for target marketing, analysis of pricing and other associated analysis to improve effectiveness of our execution.
What we’re looking for:
• Creation of a Fax market knowledgebase and from that a Healthcare market “Strategic Road Map” and knowledgebase
• Statistical and analytical thinking and skills enough to understand correlation, trends, regression
• Understanding and application of strategic marketing skills such as five forces analysis
• Gather available knowledge of buyers, decision cycles and map appropriate best fit routes to market
• Identify industry pains and drivers for fax technology solutions and applications
• Help design basic customer surveys
• Structure and execute targeted customer/prospect surveys that aide in the improvement of buyer purchase behaviors
• Segmentation and Analysis of our customer and prospect data and append data for improved targeting
Skill set desired:
• Strong interest and skills in pulling available and disparate data, organize, cluster, determine gaps and provide analysis and recommendations.
• Ability to develop analysis of pricing, target lists etc via statistics involve time series, regression, correlation, segmentation and other analyses
• Ability to assimilate and organize data collected into a logical flow and to provide analytical insights
• Excellent MS Excel skills including Lookups, Pivot tables, macros.
• Good PowerPoint skills sufficient to organize data captured
• Solid written communications skills
• Desire to learn/apply customer databases and analyze data from various billing systems and repositories
• General competence across all Microsoft Office products
Opportunity for the Intern:
• Be part of an B2B marketing team for a nearly $120MM revenue business unit of a $600MM vision of a $1.6bn publicly traded company
• Participate in go-to-market and sales execution strategy that directly contributes to the strategy and growth of the business unit and company
• Better understand the application and connection of data collection, databases, analysis, and execution to the sales and marketing functions
• Better understand how research supports messaging, targeting, marketing vehicle selection and mix
• Real-world experience working with an established B2B sales team to develop revenue growth plans and estimations
• Actively participate as a sales and marketing team member in the tactical plan development of targeting and pricing strategies
• Develop a real-world understanding of how tactics are communicated and executed efficiently and effectively to impact revenue
Specific Deliverable
Various customer and pricing data sources have been collected through the years in house through acquisitions. Your job will be to help harvest available data, consolidated and analyze, make recommendations for adjustments along with impact assessments, and summarize with a plan of implementation. You will work closely with leadership in enterprise and inside sales, financial planning, marketing and even business intelligence. Your deliverables will be well-organized and in PowerPoint supported by impact or lift analysis, database size, assumptions and options.
