WORLD Channel is a 24/7, full service multicast channel featuring public television’s signature nonfiction documentary, science and news programming complemented by original content from emerging producers. It is also a production unit that curates, produces content with independent producers and national content partners.
Position Overview
The Editor reports to the Executive Producer of the World Channel / Stories from the Stage Production and will handle the preparation of all editing and dubbing materials for the series. This will be a second Editor on this project, and may be editing between 7-14 Episodes in coordination with the Director / Producer / Editor of the series, as well as the Executive Producer.
Essential Functions:
40% Edit rough cut of episodes, creating a visually compelling program
30% Online episodes including color correction and preparing audio for mixes. Fixing, changing and repacking episodes for repeat broadcast. Deliver final show
10% Edit episode promo for broadcast, digital and social media
10% Package performances for digital distribution
10% Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills Required
At least 3-5 years of TV Production Editing experience is necessary, preferable experience in editing studio audience based production projects. Strong organizational skills and experience in managing media both tapes and tapeless. The Editor must be proficient on ADOBE Premiere editing systems.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
