Job Summary:
•Oversees marketing and promotions for the iHeartMedia Chicago Region’s six radio stations.
•Directs the activities of employees engaged in the planning and execution of marketing, promotion, sales promotion and imaging campaigns.
Responsibilities:
• Managing the promotion and marketing activities for the benefit of the Company's product image.
• Studying market conditions to determine the demand for company's services or products, and indicating the need for new products or services. Identifying potential listening audience and customers.
• Developing and evaluating marketing strategies, striving to achieve maximum profits or market share and achieving and maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Researching program and campaign effectiveness.
• Tracking and reporting results to management.
• Providing marketing advice to markets and stations.
• Formulating marketing policies to promote products and services, working with advertising and promotion managers.
• Monetizing all activities and events.
• Executes remote station promotional events and materials.
• Participates with station management in determining appropriate promotions for targeted demographic.
• Maintains station event calendar, writes copy for promotional spots, schedules live remotes from promotional events, prepares summaries of events, serves as primary coordinator for third party tie-ins and manages promotions directors, coordinators, and event staff.
• Ensures the provision of prizes, promotional materials, and event collateral. Ensures contest rules comply with FCC regulations.
Qualifications:
• Exceptional understanding of broadcasting, marketing and promotion.
• Proven ability to find new revenue opportunities tied to marketing and promotion.
• Excellent leadership and coaching ability; can successfully coach others, and manage department budget.
• Deep understanding of local markets, customers, and competitors in order to target marketing needs.
• Can create productive, long-term listener, client and vendor relationships.
• Excellent ability to organize, prioritize, and multi task.
• Can push self and others to achieve and excel in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Excellent business and people decision-making skills.

Work Experience:
• 5+ years’ experience as an Marketing and/or Promotion Director in media industry with proven track record of success.
Education:
• 4-year college degree preferred
