Description
Interns in our Investigative Unit will learn how Journalism can directly help viewers and advocate change. You will assist reporters and producers by researching investigative stories and consumer issues. You will have plenty of phone work and will be able to accompany reporters in the field. Here's the description for the investigative internship-
As an investigative reporting intern, you will have the opportunity to follow up on tips, vet story ideas and work closely with reporters on investigative stories that impact Northeast Ohio. This includes accompanying reporters in the field, researching stories, checking court records and following up on public records requests, among other responsibilities.

• Conduct interviews
• Research stories
• Contributing story ideas
• Logging tape
• Going into the field and helping with stories
Education & Experience/Certifications
• Enrolled at an accredited college or university
• Registered as a Sophomore or above and in good stranding
• Receive college/university course credit for participating in this program. The amount of course credit to be earned is determined and must be verified by the college/university, prior to starting assignment.
Skills & Abilities
• Computer/typing skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in person and on the phone
• Completed at least one broadcast journalism writing course
• Good organization skills Investigation Unit
• Computer-based research abilities
• Strong writing skills Sales
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Dress professionally
