Job Description
Job Summary:The Promotions Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Six Flags Great Adventure Promotions department functions including trade advertising, project coordination, promotional activities and special events. This position enforces all park policies and procedures while maintaining guest satisfaction and profitability of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop relationships with core and outer market radio, TV and social media
• Manage media barter program to efficiently reach park advertising goals
• Work with advertising agency to implement cash/trade program
• Track and report radio & TV barter & promotional activity
• Responsible for assisting implementation of all promotional special events including concert coordination, radio and television media events and park festivals
• Develop internal communications for event coordination, media events and park festivals
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
• In a course of study to earn a Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field preferred
• Previous media/promotion event coordination experience a plus
• Computer proficiency in Word & Excel a must
• Exceptional communication skills both in written and oral form
• A valid NJ drivers license a must
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and have the ability to learn quickly, multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
