Demand Generation Business Analyst, ABM

Responsibilities
• Act as an expert on the business strategies, business processes, key data systems and analysis platforms that exist at Autodesk
• Leverage technologies including, but not limited to, Excel, SPSS, Stata, R, Python, MarketSight, database systems (SQL and NoSQL), Looker, Tableau, Qlikview, BI, to collect, process, perform statistical data analyses and interpret results
• Data to be analyzed could include: finance-related (such as billings, revenue), subscription and entitlement, subscription behavior (such as renewal rates), product usage, purchasing, licensing, customer support, resource capacity, customer profile, customer feedback, web analytics, marketing campagins, etc.
• Help create a “data-driven” culture by contributing to the development of the latest tools and capabilities
• Understand exiting metrics and data models and makes sure new research adheres to Autodesk standards and adds to the collective Autodesk data infrastructure
• Ensures that new analyses are compared against standard or existing metrics, so that we do not deliver multiple, different answers to the same questions
• Clearly document provenance of data, ETL logic, and code used to develop models
• Work with standard development tools like Jira and GIT for managing work in an agile fashion and adding to the Autodesk data infrastructure
• Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Legal and HR to define and meet stakeholder requirements
• Analyze key business drivers, competitive & benchmarking environment, opportunities, trends, and/or operating metrics based on that data.
• Develop expertise in designated business areas to provide “deep dive” analysis into metrics trends and anomalies, continually mining insights to drive product, support and operational improvements
• Assess critical impact of business strategies and options, and provide clear articulation of assessment to support decision making for senior management
• Execute sophisticated qualitative and quantitative analyses, and if appropriate, advanced modeling that translates data into actionable insights
• Analyze data and synthesize raw information into insights, recommendations, dashboards, and reports
• Conduct research, as required, from problem definition to implementation design, execution and analysis. Identify and explain variances from goals and history, identify indicators of possible performance issues or changes in future business activities. Highlight data in significant variance from normal observations, and possible concerns for management attention
• Prepare presentations and clearly communicate findings from initiatives to the broader organization
• Facilitate business planning by providing strategic insights such as addressable market opportunity, business or operational performance, and process or product improvement opportunity
Minimum Qualifications
• You have 5+ years of experience in data mining, data analytics, big data analytics or equivalent position
• You have a strong sense of ownership with a bias for action and willingness to role-up your sleeves
• You have an enthusiastic and dedicated approach to connecting with stakeholders to gain an understanding of their needs and ensuring they understand and realize the full value of our reporting services
• Bachelor's Degree (Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Engineering or a related field)
• You have excellent communication and presentation skills
• Able to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated ability with data analysis methods and analytics tools like Kafka, Splunk, Hadoop, Google Big Query, Tableau and more
• Experience working with statistics packages like R and developing scripts and using tools like Hive, Python, and Java
• Experience working with Salesforce.com, Marketo and Engagio or other leading CRM and Marketing Automation tools
• Prior experience working on ABM projects and programs
• Self-starter: Can take a big idea or a complex problem, mine data to create insights, and use those insights to establish a point-of-view on the idea / problem
• Communicate a “story” using Big Data to influence business stakeholders and create calls to action with business stakeholders
• Desire to learn in a fast-paced environment
