We’re searching for a Senior Director of Global Partnerships with broad knowledge and experience in event marketing, media, promotions, sponsorship sales, and sports marketing. Position requires a self-motivated individual with track record in prospecting for new business leads; and significant experience in a consultative sales process, ideally with experience leveraging Intellectual Property through media, sport or entertainment. Must be innovative and cutting edge, supportive and collaborative in style and approach, and have the ability to focus on both team and individual revenue goals and objectives.
Essential Job Functions
• Prospect sponsors to be active partners with Company’s global properties; then develop and sell national sponsorship programs to increase bottom line revenue, ticket sales, and heighten brand awareness.
• Develop sponsorship proposals based on potential sponsors’ marketing needs which are mutually beneficial the organization.
• Serve as a liaison between sponsorship partner and other divisions of the Company to fulfill contract obligations which include: operations, marketing, consumer products, legal, etc.
• Collaborate with current sponsorship partners as well as prospects during various events.
• Maintain active schedule of sponsorship prospect appointments and meetings focused on selling mutually beneficial Company marketing opportunities and partnerships.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10 years related sales or marketing experience with an emphasis on sports or live entertainment preferred.
• Proven track record in selling sponsorships, TV and radio advertising and web-based media; Broad knowledge and experience in event marketing, media, promotions, sponsorship sales, sports marketing, etc.
• Knowledge and experience in developing retail and tie-in promotions.
• Strong presentation skills (written and verbal); Proven negotiation and closing skills.
• Strong organizational and management skills.
• Confidence in making sound business decisions and outlining “next steps” and creative problem solving.
• Must be very knowledgeable in the practices and principles related to the sale and implementation of effective sponsor partnerships.
• Must be aggressive, self-motivated team player and has the ability to focus on both team and individual revenue goals and objectives.
• Must be innovative and cutting edge; must be supportive and collaborative in style and approach.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Must be creative, well organized, possess a strong work ethic, desire to excel and willingness to learn.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.)
