Job Description
Provide support to the International Operations team for budget forecasting, financial analysis, planning/integration of new business, invoice coding and approval, vendor negotiations, and other ad hoc reports/projects as needed.
• Oversee monthly budget tracking and accrual process and ensure accuracy of spreadsheets and submissions to departmental finance team(s).
• Review and code invoices for all International Operations budget lines. Work directly with vendors to resolve discrepancies.
• Provide direct support to SVP of International Media Operations on all special projects requiring financial analysis, including new Bus Dev projects and other global multi-year initiatives.
• Work with the International Channel Operations team to build Business Models for new international business ventures, including building standardized templates that capture all cost requirements and allow for faster turnaround on quotations.
• Review all vendor accounts on a quarterly basis to insure accounts are up to date and all outstanding invoices are received and paid as quickly as possible.
• Maintain the global vendor rate card for fulfillment services.
• Provide research for use in rate negotiations with vendors for projects and services
• Analyze patterns in spending. Identify potential savings & discrepancies. Pinpoint risks and opportunities. Make recommendations for efficiency and prepare supporting documentation.
• Generate requirements for quarterly reforecasts and yearly budgets; provide reports and metrics to support conclusions. Work with team managers to determine needs for upcoming financial periods, and prepare budget submission spreadsheets.
• Participate in RFP preparation and full financial analysis of resulting vendor submissions.
• Explore synergies in the International Operations budget with the Corporate Operations budget
• Support Ops planning & integration for new ventures, O&Os, channel launches and other new business activities. Assist with development of related business cases and budgets. Gather costs, submit purchase orders, review financial contracts, track expenditures, and help guide transition of budget management to O&O or venture teams when appropriate.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required, with 3-6 years of professional experience, preferably in media or communications.
Experience with international broadcast ventures and the technical specifications required for their product deliverables is a plus.
Candidate must have a keen eye for detail along with the capability to see the big picture on an operations level; the ability to juggle multiple assignments and shifting deadlines, and excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Knowledge of SAP
Educational Requirements BS in Accounting or Finance
MBA preferred
