The Account Executive works under the direction of the Local Sales Manager to maintain and grow existing business and relationships with our key accounts. Additionally, this person shall identify and pursue ways to increase individual, client and company sales growth with exceptional customer service utilizing our full product portfolio.
Account Executive/Key Activities:
• Identify client needs and develop customized advertising solutions to meet their objectives
• Pursue and develop new business
• Service clients with presentations, promotions and research
• Establish and build long-standing client relationships
• Conceptualize and communicate creative ideas
• Follow through on production for new business clients
• Other duties as assigned by manager
Required Skills & Abilities:
• Entrepreneurial and motivated self-starter
• Strong presentation, written, communication and interpersonal skills
• Understand competitive landscape to best position Scripps in the marketplace
• The ability to get out in front of problems and proactively provide solutions
• Demonstration of prospecting and networking experience
• Use today's technologies to maximize selling opportunities
• Be creative and understand customer focused selling
• Ability to interact in a positive manner while learning and working in a fast-paced environment
• Participate and engage in the process of collaboration
• Strong problem solving and persuasive abilities
• Knowledge of integrated media platforms to include digital and mobile
• Meet deadlines and have good detail orientation
• Have a strong work ethic with a desire to win
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and industry software
Required Experience:
• Minimum 2-years of sales experience
• Prior radio sales experience preferred
• Sales of other media or related fields will be considered

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
