Job Description
TEGNA Commercial Operations, a TEGNA company located in Denver, CO, has an immediate opening for an Inventory Specialist in a centralized environment using the WideOrbit traffic system. Responsibilities include commercial inventory management, revenue maximization, station log preparation and programming implementation. The candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, and a team participant with excellent communication and computer skills. TV Broadcast/Cable experience is preferred.
Specific responsibilities include:
•Execute assigned tasks with high degree of accuracy within specified timeframe according to published parameters and service level expectations.
•Provide successful solutions to situations presented by collaborating with coworkers, customers and other stakeholders.
•Provide accurate and timely program log documents daily while ensuring that contents achieve client requirements and are aligned with station’s revenue objectives.
•Ensures technical aspects of program logs provide for seamless integration with secondary master control system enabling automation.
•Maintain unplaced spots at minimum level, enabling maximum sales visibility to inventory by working with local sales to identify opportunities and oversold areas.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
•High school diploma required.
•Undergraduate degree in marketing, mass communication or related field preferred.
•Minimum of one year of broadcasting or cable traffic or sales support experience preferred.
•Extensive knowledge of and experience with applicable components of Wide Orbit or similar traffic system is preferred.
•Proficiency in Microsoft products including Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel.
•Great people skills and ability to work positively with all personality types.
•Strong analytical skills.
•Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and customer service skills.
•Attention to detail and strong organizational skills in a fast paced environment.
•Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
•Demonstrates high personal standards – consistently reaches for excellence.
•Office hours appropriate to business hours of primary station assignment.
