Purpose of the Role:The ISG Sales Specialists will be responsible for all of the following activities related to the respective territory in achieving revenue and expense target/goals.
Job Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
ISG Sales Specialists:
• Partnership, support and collaboration of the K-12 Account Executives
• In collaboration with K-12 AEs, achieve 100% of territory revenue and expense goals
• Successfully Implement HMH ISG Selling Strategies Best Practices
◦ Prospecting filters (demographic, student achievement, and sales data)
◦ Consultative and Exploratory Sales Strategy
◦ Deliver Solution Based presentations aligned to customer needs
◦ Execute Gap and Tiered Intervention Sales Strategy
◦ Consistently use Tiered Intervention Proposal System
◦ Account collaboration with service team
• Master product/service sales presentations of the following ISG Solutions READ180, READ 180/System 44, System 44, iRead, MATH180, Do The Math and Big Day
• Lead responsibility, in collaboration with aligned HMH K-12 AE, to secure the assistance of the aligned Math Solutions and ICLE Executive Directors when appropriate to move all professional learning, leadership development and other Math Solutions and ICLE solutions thru the sales process.
• Ability to create, customize and present cost proposals using HMH ISG’s Tiered Intervention Proposal Selling Best Practices
• Assist HMH K-12 Account Executives in their efforts to maintain an accurate sales opportunity pipeline and update pipeline weekly
• Lead responsibility, in collaboration with aligned HMH ISG service team members and K-12 AEs for day-to-day service communication, the setup and fulfillment of three implementation key update meetings (face-to-face or virtual) during the school year for each school or cluster: Early license utilization, mid-year implementation and end-of-year implementation.
• In collaboration and partnership with your aligned K-12 AEs, establish a “pro-Houghton Mifflin Harcourt ISG” working relationship with the following decision makers and departments

◦ Title I
◦ Early Childhood
◦ Professional Development
• Respond in a timely manner to all customer requests, thus securing a high degree of customer satisfaction
• Meet the demands of an evolving territory and be able to respond professionally as a representative of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt
Corporate Responsibilities:
• Participate in ad-hoc focus groups to provide product development/marketing input
• Present at regional and national sales meetings
• Participate and assist at national sales events such as Summits and Intervention Conventions
• Communicate with regional and national team members in a timely manner
Requirements:
• Must have prior educational publishing/technology sales experience
• Must demonstrate the ability to deliver HMH Solutions presentations via PowerPoint
• Focused, discipline and has the sales skills to move opportunities thru the sales process
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Sales Territory Management Software package a plus
• Knowledge of Macintosh or PC platform
• Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word
• 4 Year College Degree required-teaching or educational experience a plus
• Graduate degree/professional certification a plus
• 1-3 years sales experience with a proven track record in meeting quota. Educational/Technology sales experience and teaching skills are desirable
