We’re looking for a Manager, Tax Compliance to join Snap Inc! Working from our Santa Monica office as a member of the Snap Tax team, you’ll collaborate with other groups within Finance to lead our US tax compliance function, implementing process improvements and best practices within the tax operations function.
What you’ll do:
• Manage US federal and state income tax compliance and controversy processes
• Support our global quarterly and annual tax accounting process, including preparing US federal and state tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740
• Partner with our tax planning function on US-focused planning projects, including managing the US compliance impacts of US M&A activity
• Manage our US indirect tax processes (Sales/Use Tax, Property Tax, etc.), including registration, invoice/documentation requirements, compliance, reporting, and audits
• Evaluate and implement software solutions and other process improvements for the US tax compliance function
What we’re looking for:
• BA/BS in accounting or finance; CPA; Master’s in tax is a plus
• 5+ years tax experience in Big 4 public accounting firm, corporate tax department of US publicly traded multinational company, or combination thereof
• Must have US federal and multi-state tax compliance experience for a large multinational consolidated taxpayer
• Must be able to operate effectively and accurately in a deadline-driven fast-paced environment
• Must have a strong work ethic and be able to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
• Detail oriented with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communicator with desire and ability to build relationships
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
