Taylor Corporation is looking for energetic, results-oriented individual, who excels in a team-oriented environment as a Business Analyst. In this role your primary responsibility will be to bridge the gap between the business requirements and the technical implementation for Taylor’s Enabling Technology team. You will be flexible and willing to assist across all aspects of product development, support, and deployment.
Responsibilities Include:
• Refine high-level business requirements to user stories / functional requirements capable of being acted on by a software engineer
• Coordinate with stakeholders across business units to prioritize requirements in release planning.
• Elicit requirements from internal and external customers using a variety of techniques and documenting these requirements with tools like functional requirements documents, use cases, and workflow diagrams.
• Develop thorough understanding of users; communicating this understanding to software engineers and incorporating this knowledge into functional requirements.
• Serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software engineering team through which product enhancement requests flow.
• Establish relationships with key companies to act as the voice of the customer to the product requirements process
Minimum Qualifications:
• 3+ years’ experiencewith agile/scrum development methodologies
• 8+ years’ experiencedefining functional requirements / user stories
• Requires Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience
• Effective oral and written communication skills, interfacing with customers, software engineers, internal peers, management, and leadership
• Work well in team environments
• Willingness and capability of quickly learning new technologies required for accomplishing project goals
• Work independently and prioritize multiple competing assignments appropriately to meet deadlines while adjusting to a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to operate effectively under conditions of moderate ambiguity
• Familiarity with the technologies used in Microsoft Development including: MS SQL Server, .NET technologies, and Web-based Systems
• Expertise (or ability to gain expertise) in e-Commerce and web-to-print technology
Preferred Qualifications:
• Agile/Scrum team member and/or product owner experience
• Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) and VersionOne
