The job:
Time Inc. Audio seeks a dynamic, passionate Audio Audience Development lead to create an audience development strategy for all of Time Inc.’s audio products including podcasts and voice-activated devices. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience building an audience on digital platforms and working with talent. This person will work at the direction of the Executive Director of Video Strategy to grow audiences for Time Inc. audio products.
You will:
• Set an audience strategy with key audio executives to grow the audience of Time Inc.’s audio products (podcasts and voice-activated devices) and execute on strategy to reach goals
• Talent management – coordinate guests to co-promote episodes they appear in, and coordinate getting Time Inc. hosts on other podcasts
• Engage in content swaps with other audio content creators to promote content
• Work with partners like Apple, Spotify and more to get promotion space on key platforms (in partnership with BD teams as needed)
• Keep track of and communicate performance against key audience goals to edit leads and executive stakeholders (Downloads, Listens, etc.)
• Analyze and create regular reporting on key audio analytics using platforms such as Art19 and Google Analytics - sending regular emails suggesting insights driven content strategies
• Work with business development and data and analytics teams to manage relationships and analytics of audio distribution partners
• Work with product teams to optimize layout on sites for audio distribution
