Job Description:This position is responsible for shaping strategy and investment for a prominent Entertainment client across social media environments, providing input to make other activations more social, and creating, monitoring, optimizing, and reporting on paid social media buys. The role will require strong communication and collaboration with other members of the immediate digital team – planning, community management, analytics and campaign management – as well as an industrious appetite and application to stay abreast of changing social ad products, user behavior, buying strategies and more.
Responsibilities:
Social Strategy:
• Works closely with digital planners to provide rationale on targeting options, optimal reach and frequency, flighting, weighting, best practices, case studies, historical performance, ad products and buy strategies across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Search, Instagram and Pinterest to allow for holistic investment decisions to be made by collective digital team.
Platform Buying:
• Actively manages buys (via self-serve dashboards) from set-up to keyword selection to targeting buckets to optimization to reporting across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Search, Instagram and Pinterest.
• Determines set-up, including testing methodologies, reporting requirements, and optimization requirements, for ensuring full impact and efficiency of each campaign.
• Works with Creative Manager(s) for all tagging and tracking requirements.
• Communicates directly with client on asset collection and scheduling, and provides active voice in communication optimization strategies, proactively communicating challenges and opportunities
• Combines data analysis and client feedback to configure, operate and optimize campaigns to meet client objectives.
• Leads the monitoring and reporting of self-managed platform campaign performance and works with Senior Analyst to incorporate platform data into rolled up digital reports.
• Ensures adherence to Horizon social team buying and analysis standards.
• Oversees Assistant as relevant on shared campaigns.
• Work with PMD/FMP partners to improve dashboard and product to better serve our clients’ goals, and continually research new partners, data integrations and practice improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
• 2+ years of relevant experience in self-serve, platform buying environments like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube and Search
• Strong familiarity with the PMD/FMP landscape and their self-service options.
• Understanding of the pros and cons of multiple API platforms.
• Strong analytical skills and comfortable with data
• Attention to detail, and time management skills to actively monitor campaigns
• Extensive Excel experience
• Strong client-facing voice
• Ability to quickly learn new services and dashboards
• Comfortable distilling data into client learnings
• Ability to think strategically as opposed to tactically, and connect social media strategy to larger brand objectives.
Certificates, licenses and registrations
Facebook Blueprint and Twitter Flight School preferred, but not required.
