• This position is responsible for the support and maintenance of j2 end-user computing environment including hardware, software and associated peripheral’s
Job Duties:
• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer/server systems, hardware and peripheral devices.
• Provides support to end-users on computer systems (Macintosh and MS-Windows), OTS and proprietary application software, computer systems and Smartphones.
• Troubleshoots BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) iPad and Android based tablets, iPhone and Android based phones, Blackberry devices and other peripherals in the enterprise
• Create and update standard OS images utilizing Ghost and/or other imaging products
• Gathers requirements and proposes solutions for end-user computing activities and projects.
• Gathers quotations and fulfills requests for end-user computing.
• Administers end-user computing resources including active directory, print servers, email and debugging through remote access.
• Monitor antivirus software and updates. Repair computers infected with spyware, adware and other viruses.
Other Responsibilities:
• Responsible for monitoring service ticket tracking application for notification of new issues being reported.
• Responsible for ordering and maintaining IT assets in the ITAM tracking application.
• Manages assigned issues and communicates regularly with staff to help avoid production issues, prepare for system updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Works with staff to triage and resolve both real and perceived problems.
• Research new technologies and present recommendations and justifications on hardware and software purchases.
Performance Requirements: (j2 expectation of job function)
• Candidate must have computer systems support experience, working directly with end-users.
• Candidate must possess expert technical knowledge of operating systems, including Windows 10 and MAC.
• Experience in application support for Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Anti-Virus applications.
• Experience with an internal Service Desk ticket tracking application is a strong plus.
• Candidate must have excellent written and spoken communication skills and must be able to deal with a large number of users.
• Candidate will be required to perform a variety of complicated tasks with minimal supervision.
• Candidate must be able to lift and transport moderately heavy objects such as computers and peripherals.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, within a team, and with other groups.
