Job Description

Ticketmaster is seeking an extremely talented and influential Product Director to build our B2B platform. The new platform will be the face of Ticketmaster for our clients to operate their businesses, enhance the live event experience and facilitate connection to their fans. Our B2B apps will integrate with the platform for speed of delivery and leverage shared components developed by the platform to create a seamless journey across a breadth of capabilities.
As the Director of Product, you will work with clients to understand their needs and business processes and lead with top-notch engineers and user experience designers to create compelling and elegant software. And you will create a roadmap that brings these new components online in the most productive and impactful sequence.
The ideal candidate is extremely comfortable working with clients, engineers, and business stakeholders. They are both analytical and creative and have experience and passion building large scale, data-driven applications using the latest technology.
As a Director of Product, you will:
• Articulate a compelling vision for the platform
• Challenge the norm and push the team to forget the easy route and go after the impossible
• Delight our clients and deliver beyond their expectations
• Define and evangelize a strategic vision for our platform with both internal stakeholders and high-profile clients
• Manage change and promote the continuous improvement of our products and processes
• Be an expert in creating a compelling platform, understanding clients’ needs and processes
• Define projects and create long- and short-term development roadmaps and migration plans that optimize business value and development efficiency
• Write detailed business and work with the team to develop functional requirements, test cases, and operational processes for each project
• Lead the engineering team with product direction, communicating requirements and ensuring all product development meets the goals of the project and overall strategic goals
• Be hands on within the project team on a day-to-day basis, continually inspecting and shaping the backlog in response to the changing business landscape or technical discoveries
• Work with operational and marketing teams to ensure successful product rollouts and go-to-market strategies
• Partner with product mangers in other verticals to drive the release of new features and solicit input on new features and optimizations
Our ideal candidate would have:
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in software product management or product development
• Entrepreneurial spirit and strong leadership presence
• Proven track record of delivering iteratively against a high-level roadmap to learn and adapt quickly
• Strong networking capabilities with a broad set of key contacts and stakeholders
• Experience and comfort talking to customers to solicit and understand needs, gaps, and pain points
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to clearly and succinctly explain complex ideas and processes
• Experience working in an Agile development environment with a strong understanding of the role of the product owner
• Ability to learn new information quickly and thoroughly including ability to understand the components of a technical architecture and how they fit together
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage the successful execution of concurrent priorities
• BS or equivalent degree required; Advanced Degree in computer science, business, or design preferred (by not required)
• Ticketing, transaction or live event experience a plus
• Experience with SSO login also a plus
