The Role:
As a junior member of the Live Nation Southern California marketing team, your job is provide multiple levels of marketing support to the local marketing team. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to learn all aspects of the live music marketing world.
Responsibilities:
• Manage multiple social media channels
• Review assigned event invoices for accuracy and approve for payment
• Compile weekly press releases for distribution
• Coordinate grass roots level marketing campaigns using retail, street teams and local media partnerships
• Work with contracted graphic designer on creating collateral for advertising and promotional use
• Maintain contact lists, on sale schedules, other database & quick reference items
• Research various performing artists and provide marketing recommendations when necessary
• Manage on-site marketing needs for assigned events, including media and contest fulfillment
• Actively participate in booking and marketing meetings with new and engaging marketing ideas
• Assist with day to day marketing tasks as needed
• Coordinate with the box office on shipping all promotional tickets to radio stations
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
• 1-3 years experience with digital and social marketing
• Detail-oriented and able to coordinate multiple work streams under deadline pressure
• Ability to take initiative, problem solve and perform research
• Knowledge of the principles of target marketing
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly MS Excel
• General knowledge of music, sports, theater, and family events
• Knowledge of concert promotion and live event business a plus
• Some local travel will be required
• Must have reliable transportation for local travel, when needed
