Job Title
Traffic Manager
The Traffic Manager reports directly to the Operations Lead and maintains the integrity of every CRM regular project from inception to the delivery of final files that goes through Meredith Xcelerated Marketing (MXM). The Traffic Manager develops and manages time action plans/schedules— ensuring that creative briefs, legal, product, client and account reviews, comments and approvals are adhered to, and revises the schedules to reflect or update delivery dates. The Traffic Manager constantly facilitates team communication between the Account Executives, Print Production Managers, Creative and Desktop Publishing to troubleshoot and problem solve at every stage of development.
The Traffic Manager:
• Schedules up to four round-table or Insite review meetings to obtain approvals/comments during the four stages of routing.
• Creates, maintains and distributes all time action plans on assigned accounts. Provides weekly update of eDirect timing to Desktop Services.
• Identifies conflicts, risks, delays or any other unusual situations and works to resolve these matters and/or obtain deadline extensions when necessary in an effort to limit disruption and keep the project on track.
• Attends and participates in key planning and strategic meetings
• Enhances the traffic system and project management/account process through process improvement efforts and recommendations.. Collaborates with the team on overall process improvement suggestions.
• Monitors and compiles project costs and communicates to the Account Executives for incorporation into the budget.
• Partners with the Account team on asset management/collection. Works with the Art Directors/Proofreading team to ensure that final creative files (post deployment or post mailing) are prepared proprerly and timely and sent to Chrysler’s asset management system.
• Is solely responsible for ensuring the Direct Mail and eDirect approval process is followed correctly and completely by reviewing Direct Mail and eDirect templates, redemption website copy, letters, brochures, etc. and routing them for the required approval by the appropriate parties including Account, Art Director, Copywriter, Proofreader, Print Production, Legal, Product and Award Approvers.
Minimum Qualifications: All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Advertising, Marketing or Business related field preferred - or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience:
0-1 years previous traffic/accountmanagement experience preferred. Applicable internship experience and academic coursework demonstrating work with Direct Mail (DM) and CRM considered.
