Job Title
Social Copywriter
Job Summary
| Major goals and objectives.
The Copywriter is integral to the ideation and written execution of best in class content that consistently meets high standards of creativity and innovation. This role is primarily but not exclusively social focused.
You will partner with art directors, designers and strategists to
• define and implement brand voice and tone
• ensure messaging is on strategy and consistent with client goals and directions
• create compelling and high performing written content optimized for each platform
• innovate on current and emerging platforms
• manage and execute content projects with established templates and editorial calendars
• write and ideate for social, digital, video campaigns and content
• work with community managers in understanding consumer feedback that effects content planning
You will share your deep passion and knowledge of social and digital trends and platforms and will bring smart and creative ideas to projects and proposals.
You will work closely with the Senior Content Manager and Creative Director on driving results for clients.
Essential Job Functions
• Ideate: brainstorm and develop ideas that meet and exceed client expectations; refine ideas into high performing campaign concepts and content plans
• Create: contribute to and support leading concepts with thumb stopping and enriching copy
• Develop: develop and maintain content calendars and content playbooks
• Collaborate: collaborate with other creatives and strategists
• Optimize: monitor metrics and recalibrate accordingly
• Additional responsibilities:
◦ Participate/lead in growth/new business proposals
◦ Develop and maintain solid client relationships
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements| All must be met to be considered.
Experience:
• 3 years of progressive writing and content experience (preferably agency side), with significant experience in social and digital platforms
• Experience working with Inter Agency Teams on paid media campaigns, influencing flighting and optimization recommendations
• Track record of developing concepts, calendars and pitching to clients
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Very strong writer with ability to transition seamlessly between different voices and styles
• Ability to create and ideate high-quality copy and content ideas while multi-tasking several priorities at once
• Proven ability to write engaging copy for social posts, digital content, ad campaigns, video scripts and storyboards
• Extensive knowledge of all current social platforms and familiarity with emerging social platforms
• Working knowledge in metrics and optimization
• Working knowledge in paid media and unique advertising offerings by platform
• Great sense of visual style and basic design skills a plus
• Ability to relate to people and effectively communicate under stressful circumstances
• A love and passion of being a student of social every day, a must
