Job Summary:
Responsible for planning, analysis, and execution of sourcing activities in support of strategic sourcing, commodity management, procurement operations and business intelligence efforts. Provide financial analytics and modeling to support project efforts and business case development
Job Responsibilities:
• Classify and maintain accuracy of operating and capital expenses in a database schema that categorizes “like and kind” products and services that the company uses for identification of savings opportunities, non-compliant supply program use, and management reporting.
• Develop category-specific sourcing spend profiles by assembling spend detail baselines of incumbent supplier, product/service purchased, prices paid, internal consumers of product/service, and any performance to business requirements.
• Assist Strategic Sourcing in bid strategy, RFP development, RFP evaluation, and award presentation.
• Measure and track procurement metrics and produce department dashboard, analytics, and budget for reporting to executive management and key stakeholders
• Assist Strategic Sourcing in developing and maintaining sourcing project pipeline through top-down P&L and balance sheet analysis, bottoms-up expense analysis from sourcing schema, and follow-on work from previous and current projects.
• Contribute to and/or lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide procurement processes and systems including documentation.
• Provide report on results of various RFPs and programs to include total cost modeling and preparing cost benefit analysis (CBA) recommendations.
Job Qualifications:
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
• M.B.A preferred
Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate finance, procurement, management consulting or related field.
• Knowledge of finance and accounting.
• Skills in financial analytics and CBA (Cost Benefit Analysis) modeling
Other:
• Possess and demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, facilitation, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member of a project team.
• Ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment – must escalate appropriate issues to management in a timely fashion.
• Must be detailed oriented – with strong attention to accuracy and problem solving. “Following-up until resolved” skills are a must.
• Skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Ability to work in a matrix organizational structure.
