Job Summary:
The Workforce Operations Specialist will support the Strategic Workforce Manager and Information Technology business group in Human Capital strategies and workforce planning. This role will assist and coordinate a variety of activities in support of the department with a focus on the internship program; as well as recruitment event planning, recruitment processes, onboarding, employee referral program, and program/system self-service adaptation. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys developing, guiding and nurturing relationships with candidates and employees.
Key Responsibilities
This individual develops a presence in the talent community that represents the Employer Brand to both passive and active candidates. This is a highly administrative, service-oriented role, and you must have attention to detail and be able to prioritize functions to meet due dates and deadlines. The Workforce Operations Specialist will be an analytical thinker, have the ability to multi-task, demonstrate exceptional communication skills and will love working in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Key Functions:
• Provide assistance to Workforce Manager in the development of an ongoing Internship program with local colleges and universities that provide mutual benefit to the student and the iHMIT organization
• Work directly with internal and external stakeholders for campus, site and regional recruiting events
• Serve as the primary point of contact for campus career services related to student recruitment
• Coordinate logistics for on-campus events including job postings on the Handshake system, booth/collateral material orders, and collecting, uploading and reviewing student resumes
• Gather candidate experience feedback from summer Interns
• Be responsible for onboarding activities w/new hires to include: introductions to current employees; connect new hires with key information, resources, and people within the organization
• Work with hiring manager on New Hire introductions to ensure compliance and adherence to organization processes and programs
• Assist managers with all aspects of the Onboarding process within Workday and outside of Workday; to include dispositioning candidates through Workday, creating offer letters in Workday, reaching out to candidates to ensure pre-onboarding activities are complete prior to 1st day of employment, coordinating new hires with I-9 verification within first 3 days of hire
• Create and track detailed information spreadsheet for incoming intern and Entry level applicants
• Assist and promote Employee Referral Program
Qualifications
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar position; Preferred 1 - 2 of those years focused on corporate and college recruiting
• Foundational knowledge of human resources processes, terminology and programs is a plus
• Strong working knowledge of Recruiting concepts, practices and procedures
• Strong desire and willingness to interact with the public at community events, college career days, tech fairs, etc
• Experience in event planning to include coordination of various types of venues and events
• Experience managing multiple projects at one time
• Flexibility and ability to work with a level of ambiguity and a sense of urgency
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally; strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
• Excellent customer service skills and an ability to work with all levels of staff and management
• Proficiency in Microsoft products including PowerPoint and Excel
• Workday experience is a plus
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
