Job Description
WVEC/13News Now, a TEGNA Company, has an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager to join our dynamic and forward-thinking sales team.
Once ad solutions are sold by the Account Executives (AEs), the Account Manager (AM) becomes a key point of contact for the clients. The AM will coordinate the full efforts of all the internal team members involved in the fulfillment & execution process to help the clients achieve the desired business results and to receive a strong ROI.
Job title: Account Manager
The Account Manager (AM) serves as an internal point person on core business campaigns and supports the Account Executive (AE) position on internal administrative functions.
Position responsibilities include:
• Confirm TV orders are input correctly and aligned with insertion order
• Organize TV avails
• Submit TV traffic
• Handle displaced TV (makegoods)
• Communicate directly with clients, answering questions, and meet any requests/needs
• Serve as the back-up point of contact on assigned AE accounts
• Maintain strong and positive relationships with the clients and the internal team members; keep everyone informed on project status
• Coordinate all internal efforts with those involved in fulfillment
• Serve as the Client interface with TEGNA internal teams, such as Creative Services
• Monitor live campaigns and provide monthly recaps/reviews
• Create launch brief and ensure proper implementation with launch team
• Make recommendations to the AE when they see growth opportunity for existing accounts
• Resolve invoice discrepancies
• Handle revenue adjustments
• Work with Sales Fulfillment Manager to coordinate promotions/sweepstakes
• Initiate log write-ins
• Create proposals for AE team members
• Use Salesforce to track account activity as needed
• Special projects as assigned by management team
Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5-8 years related experience in account management or client services, preferably within the advertising industry
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Commitment to high quality of work and excellent client services
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to identify problems and solve them through innovative solutions and sound judgment
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple accounts
