Job Description
Position Type:Seasonal Hourly
Job Summary:Working with area and location management to ensure that guests and team members are provided a safe environment. Candidates ensure that all Six Flags Safety policies and regulations are being met on a daily basis. Maintain a safe environment for our guests and team members by creating more safety awareness.
Job Duties:
• INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:Positive interaction with our guests and fellow team members at all times. Work with team members and management to create a safe environment by providing daily training on quality of product to include safe food handling practices. Follow up on reported incidents and assist in creating preventative measures to avoid reoccurrences. Resolving guest or team member concerns immediately. Motivate and continually enhance the skills of leadership and host/hostess's through follow-up training.
• SAFETY:Promote and maintain a safe work environment and aid in the elimination of hazards while training staff on proper food safety procedures and follow-up with in park locations to ensure compliance. Report any hazards to the appropriate department and the manager on duty as incidents occur. Ensure daily that PPE is clean and at all locations. Ensure that all units are equipped with the proper signage as it applies.
• UNIT AUDITS:Complete Safety Audits on all locations throughout park. Make immediate changes and take precautionary steps as needed to correct any potential violations. Ensure that weekly audit forms are filled in properly and accurately. Audit and monitor the flow of food preparation in every location throughout the park, including the stock and storage of products. Ensure work locations/environment is within Heath Department Guideline while taking necessary steps to improve the overall quality of both unit and product. Ensure locations have the necessary supplies to be in compliance and temperature logs are filled accurately.
• FOOD HANDLING:May need to assemble food and deliver product to guests. Will ensure products are being cooked and served at the proper temperatures. Ensure that all locations display and utilize food handling guides provided (Picture Perfect)
• TRAINING:Continually train the importance and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), safety policies and procedures. Encourage Team Members to be more aware of their surroundings. Work side by side Team Members to teach the safest way to properly complete their tasks. Issue corrective disciplinary action to team members.
• HEALTH DEPARTMENT INSPECTORS:Escort the health inspector and make note of concerns, effectively correct any infractions and find solutions to avoid future infractions.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be in a related class or have experience in Food Safety and Quality Assurance practices
• Maintain a sanitation certification
• Currently enrolled or completed classes for Food Health and Safety
• Must pass a pre-employment math test.
• Must be willing to work 40 hours per week, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Experience in culinary and hospitality industry preferred, not required.
• Light lifting up to 50lbs. required.
• Must be willing to work in all weather conditions for extended periods.
• Must be able to stand, kneel, and squat for extended periods.
• Must successfully obtain a state required Food Handler's card.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to communicate in a professional and efficient manner both in written and verbal formats.
• Must be professional, energetic, self-motivated, and have the ability to motivate others, and have a positive attitude.
• Must lead by example regarding grooming, safety, cleanliness, and appropriate conduct at all times.
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50lbs with or without assistance.
