Taylor Communications is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager in Columbus, OH. This person is responsible for establishing quality standards and maintaining optimum product quality in operations. The Quality Assurance Manager will function as the liaison between operations, procurement, quality, customer service, and sales surrounding successful quality process development and implementation.
Shift Available
• Monday – Friday
• 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM local time. Extended hours as required.
Responsibilities Include:
• Review of new or revised product specifications and developing appropriate quality standards for production operations.
• Communicate with production departments revised quality standards and audit these standards.
• Provide assistance to Production Service and Purchasing personnel in the inspection of incoming raw materials. Testing provided to ensure compliance to established quality assurance specifications.
• Assure records and test results are available for verification to our vendors of their performance.
• Lead the resolution of customer complaints.
• Oversee tests conducted when necessary for determining root cause and corrective action.
• Responsible for implementing written procedures for preventing additional occurrences.
• Provides assistance to customers and sales in the resolution of problems, including on-site visits if required.
• Responsible for working with and supporting the Leadership team in aligning quality objectives with the team’s continuous improvement objectives.
• Responsible for maintaining appropriate data to indicate frequency and trend of complaints.
• Formulates and recommends corrective measures regarding internal and external errors and errors of our vendors.
• Responsible for developing participant problem solving activities for plant and our vendors. Must be an advocate of the A3 problem solving methodology.
• Responsible for establishing a Quality System based on the theories of ISO 9001:2015.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Business / Technical Degree Desired
• Minimum 2 years of related Quality experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to use analytics and metrics to extract information from data, and use data to solve business problems.
• Ability to understand existing processes and refine / replace with improved processes that specifically improve product quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Engineering Degree
• Understanding of basic probability and statistics
• Familiarity with state-of-the-art quality processes, ISO 9001/2015, TQM, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing
