Description
An innovative and award-winning graphic design firm located in Manhattan is currently seeking a highly motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented, full-time receptionist and administrative assistant. This position provides critical support for the studio and Principals and requires discretion and decorum. As the face and voice of the company, you will be communicating directly with our clients and need to conduct yourself professionally, be articulate, friendly, presentable, and helpful.
Responsibilities include answering phones, accurately communicating messages, initiating and responding to email inquiries, managing the Principals' schedules, arranging travel, coordinating office events and lunches, and working on special projects. In addition to other general administrative duties, the Receptionist/Administrative Assistant works closely with Finance, Human Resources and the staff on a range of activities that keeps the studio humming.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years experience performing administrative tasks and supporting multiple executives and the staff in a professional office environment
• Bachelor's Degree – preferably in an art/architecture or humanities field
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, prioritize efficiently, follow-through, and problem-solve
• Self-starter with initiative, ability to work independently, find solutions, and anticipate the Principal’s, staff and studio’s needs
• Interest in the work we do – understanding our mission and curiosity about our clients, projects, and collaborators
• Proficient use of Mac computers and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite programs
