At Bose, better sound is just the beginning. We’re inventing new technologies that help our customers reach their fullest human potential and live healthier and more engaged lives.
Our Wellness business is a small entrepreneurial team within our global business. It’s new and growing fast. We’re looking for an experienced communicator and strong strategic thinker to build the critical connections, community and understanding among employees that we need to enable smart growth for this business.
WHAT WE WANT YOU TO DO
Start up employee communications for this start-up business. Help this new team build an identity and culture that meshes entrepreneurial spirit with the essence of Bose. Understand the business, understand our employees, and determine the strategy for keeping the two in synch. Develop effective communications channels and compelling messaging for the business—from scratch. Work with leaders to help them communicate effectively, individually and as a team. Manage multiple projects at the same time without missing a beat. Measure the work you’re doing to make sure it’s having the desired impact. And, serve as a connector with the corporate Internal Communications team, enabling consistency and providing insight in both directions.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
In this role, you’ll get the best of two worlds. You’ll be embedded in the Wellness business, working closely with leaders who get the importance of good communication. You’ll partner closely with HR and other functions dedicated to the business.
At the same time, you’ll also be a member of a dynamic internal communications team that is your source of standards, professional collaboration and career development. Management is committed to helping you succeed on the job while recognizing the importance of your life outside Bose.
WHAT DRIVES YOU
A good challenge! The desire to help a new business and community grow. Passion for doing great employee communications. A collaborative and positive spirit. The chance to try something new. Curiosity about business and culture. An unending urge to identify and solve problems. High personal standards. An interest in Wellness. And of course, the desire to find a great place to do your best work and grow your career.
WHAT YOU BRING
You can think and work as fast as our business needs to move because you have at least 5 years of experience in developing communications, building communities, and supporting leaders. You have true personal stories about projects and tricky situations you’ve managed effectively--often simultaneously--and can show how your work has helped achieve business objectives. You’ve delivered top-notch plans and materials, and are fluent in current communication technologies and tools. You know how to navigate complex global organizations but work with the nimbleness and mindset of a start-up. You thrive working autonomously, and also love being a real team player. You have a college degree and perhaps an advanced degree in communications. Accreditation or certification in communications and/or change management is a plus.
