Job Description
This Spark Foundry Supervisor is a highly valued member of the Global Publicis Media Communications & Brand Marketing team. Based in Chicago, he/she will be responsible for managing various communications activities including, but not limited to media relations, internal communications, executive communications and brand marketing efforts. The ideal candidate should be an excellent writer, have a good sense of humor, be able to think on their feet and be detail and solution-oriented at all times. This position will report directly into the VP, Communications & Brand Marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive external and internal communications strategies from conception to implementation. Work closely with the Global Communications & Brand Reputation team, and senior agency leadership, to align communication efforts with business strategy.
• Enhance the reputation of our agency brands by increasing visibility and broadening press efforts to reach key decision makers in the business world, new business prospects and the overall advertising community.
• Responsible for elevating external visibility of our thought leaders via submissions for speaking engagements, industry honors, editorial opportunities, etc. Prepare and manage strategically relevant and industry-leading messaging to drive each.
• Develop and nurture strategic relationships with key global business and marketing press, spanning print, broadcast and online media outlets.
• Help agency leaders merchandise work done on behalf of clients, gaining client support and approval of those efforts as required.
• Advance and support Publics Media internal communications program, building and unifying a culture that spans boundaries.
• Serve a contributor to all global Publicis Media Brand Reputation efforts, including presence at key events such as Cannes, CES, Advertising Week and ANA, among others
• Advance social strategy and execution, both proactive and reactive.
• Assist the Brand Reputation & Communications team in projects and assignments as directed.
Qualifications
• 3-5+ years of related experience required; previous experience in advertising/media or technology/digital sectors is a bonus.
• Is a natural storyteller, across platforms and audiences, with excellent speaking, writing and editing skills
• Thrives in fast-paced environments, is flexible, collaborative and deadline driven. Polished presentation and organizational skills
• Has experience and genuine interest in uncovering unique and innovative story angles and communication approaches to enhance the agency’s reputation; prior work and/or rich knowledge of digital, data and technology trends in the marketplace a plus
• Experience in building and nurturing relationships with press, proven history of securing placement
• Promotes collaboration and teamwork across organizational boundaries; strong interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to support and counsel senior-level executives
• Desire for personal growth and development. This department is dedicated to developing its talent by offering opportunities to own projects across all markets.
• Project management and large-scale event planning/implementation experience
• Fluent in social media – from platforms, to content to measurement
• Video editing and/or graphic design skills are a preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Must want to have fun at work!
