Summary:
The Director, Financial Operations, Sustainability is responsible for overseeing the measurement and impact assessment of Comcast's sustainability initiatives by developing and evaluating technical, financial, and operational metrics across Comcast / NBCU business. This Director will develop tools to baseline existing sustainability impacts across business units and model the financial impact of variations to inform business case development as well. Additionally, this Director will enhance existing enterprise-wide reporting capabilities to include sustainable components, while engaging Division and Corporate CFO's on a quarterly basis to review progress toward goal attainment, e.g., sustainable savings, operational efficiencies, and remaining opportunities.
Core Responsibilities:
• Conduct financial modeling to establish and maintain Comcast's sustainability philanthropic program.
• Establish an operational alerting model to inform the enterprise of the green impact of product and program development, launch, and integration activities.
• Maintain key sustainability metrics (e.g. energy efficiency, cost reduction, waste reuse and reduction) and showcase with business unit leaders to drive adoption of sustainability best practices.
• Evaluate proposals for sustainability projects, considering factors such as cost effectiveness, technical feasibility, and integration with other initiatives and interface with Procurement, Finance, Legal and other organizations as needed.
• Manage third party audits of Comcast's sustainable activity, evaluating progress towards Comcast's goals.
• Direct sustainability program operations to ensure compliance with environmental or governmental regulation.
• Support the development of annual CAPEX and OPEX budget requests and lead the approval process for SOWs and POs. Assure Sustainability Team compliance with Comcast Financial programs and policies.
• Develop in-house expertise in utility company incentives and rebates and serve as point of contact across the business to ensure funding is secured where appropriate.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent preferably in Finance or related field of study.
• Generally requires 12+ years related experience; analytical and financial modeling experience, forecasting, measuring/analyzing current performance and providing recommendations for improvements.
• Hands-on design and development of dashboards, summaries and scorecards at senior and executive levels.
• Experience proposing and managing cross functional initiatives requiring coordination, collaboration and communication across various entities.
• Superior written and verbal skills.
• Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau.
