Social Media Producer – Humankind
Qualified applicants must have media/publishing experience.
We’re looking for a natural-born social media addict to join Humankind’s team to help the brand socialize stories about acts of kindness, out of the ordinary triumphs and special relationships. If you can turn on feels at the drop of a hat through your social posts, we need you!
We need someone with the passion to make Humankind’s content successful on our social media channels. The Humankind Social Media Producer will work alongside Humankind’s current production staff to schedule, manage, optimize and promote multiple videos per day on various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, as well as help program other social video brands.
Humankind is a good-news brand launched by THE USA TODAY NETWORK, the largest newspaper publisher in the country. There's enough bad news out there, join Humankind in telling the country's most positive, uplifting stories.
Must possess a Bachelor's degree as well as 5 years of social media experience, preferably with a news/media brand.
Responsibilities include:
• Be positive about interactions, engagement, comments, analytics, developing and executing social campaigns, while at the same time interacting with our followers to keep the conversation around our positive content going.
• Possess the unique ability to not only post great content in the social arena, but find great content from the social arena as well.Utilize tools like Hootsuite, Crowdtangle, DataMinr, Chartbeat.
• Ability to dig into analytics to isolate trends and come up with best practices for each platform.
• Expert social video experience, knowing how to read metrics around video completion rates, optimization, monetization (Facebook mid-roll ads, Twitter Amplify) and crossposting.
• Must be excited to see the brand’s content go viral and passionate about the success of the brand as a whole.
• A team player with excellent communication skills, quick to respond and receptive to feedback. This position will also assist with social media management for other USA TODAY Network social brands as needed such as Animalkind and USA TODAY Video channels.
