The job:
The candidate will use sales and demographic data to develop customized distributions for various titles that belong to several different publishers. The applicant will analyze distributions, summarize findings, and communicate with publisher and field representatives in order for distribution changes to be implemented. The candidate will have daily responsibility for the administration of wholesale and retail assignments, including development, coordination with respective marketing and sales entities, distribution, tracking and processing.
You will:
• Work closely with marketing to develop specialized distributions, following key criteria and utilizing sales and demographic information.
• Execute approved assignment requisitions. Coordinate as necessary with Marketing Managers on quality and completeness of content and supporting documentation. Establish and monitor execution schedule of activities listed above.
• Review and audit assignment responses, following up on outstanding data related issues/questions. Compile recap reports for Marketing and Sales Management.
• Support the Sales field staff as a key contact regarding assignments and various ad-hoc projects.
• Initiate assignments on retail and terminal promotions that will determine wholesale copy requirements and title print order.
• Work within TIR’s Centralized Order Regulation (COR) system to process and analyze store level distributions. Communicate key title information to TIR marketing and publisher representatives.
• Participate in a variety of ad-hoc research and analytical projects.
You have:
• A Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (required), MS Access skills would be a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Analytical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills.
• An ability to pay close attention to detail and work well with numbers.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
