The Role
CAA is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support the Human Resources Department in Nashville, Tennessee who is responsible for the HR functions for the CAA offices in the southeast. These offices are mostly comprised of music and sports departments.
Music - CAA represents many of today’s most popular and talented musical artists from rock, pop, alternative, country and hip-hop, to gospel, Christian, Latin and R&B; in addition, CAA represents high-profile film composers and music supervisors.
Sports - CAA Sports represents more than 1,000 of the world’s best athletes in team sports such as football, baseball, basketball, hockey and soccer; in addition to icons in individual sports, coaches, on-air broadcasters and other sports personalities. Beyond traditional athlete representation, CAA provides unique opportunities for clients off the field. CAA Sports also works in the areas of broadcast rights, corporate marketing initiatives and sport properties for sales/ sponsorship opportunities.
Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support to the Nashville HR Department, including: answering calls, managing calendars, booking travel and handling expenses
• Field general inquiries regarding HR policies, systems and benefits with a sense of urgency
• Daily screening of online candidates through our applicant tracking system to review resumes for initial consideration
• Conduct reference checks for potential new hires
• Compile exit paperwork for outgoing employees
• Facilities contact for the Nashville office (maintenance, janitorial, building and parking access cards)
• Maintain office-wide grids (internal Facebook and employee birthdays)
• Main point of contact for various events throughout the year: liaison to the Creative team to produce ads, field questions, acquire venues, coordinate attendance and catering
• Manage culture-related events such as birthday celebrations, holiday treats and other employee appreciation gatherings
Qualifications
• BA/BS from an accredited University of College; HR degree a plus
• 1-3 years of HR experience
• Team player mentality; Approachable and supportive
• Demonstrates skills in: organization, critical thinking, planning and problem-solving
• Ability to keep a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations
• Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality to discretely handle sensitive information
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite
• Workday experience a plus
• Possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
