Job Summary
We have an opening for our 2018 Summer Internship Program in Monroe, LA. Intern will assist our Human Resources Talent Acquisition team performing assignments in support of University Relations. The ideal candidate for this position has the ability to think strategically and see the bigger picture in combination with application of high tactical and execution skills. This individual should display a strong balance of analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, communication and presentation skills, and should be able to work independently and in a small team environment. A strong commitment to positive and timely internal customer focus is a must in this position.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategy to streamline processes for efficiency
• Assist in developing and tracking analytics and business cases for University Relations and College Recruiting.
• Work with team to maintain the University Relation’s dashboard analytics and organizational support to assist with generating and maintaining recurring reports
• Produce and readout on specific HR Projects
• Event planning and facilitation
• Organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
• In pursuit of Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Outlook experience
• Experience in data and reporting
• Ability to oversee and drive tasks to completion
• PowerPoint presentation skills
• Ability to document details in a process
• Ability to work autonomously and in small team environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly motivated, organized, reliable, and detailed oriented
• Quick learner and capable of multitasking and asking questions
Preferred Majors:
• Human Resources
• Analytics
• MBA
• Master’s Industrial-organizational (I-O) psychology
Requirements:
• Must submit a resume, transcript, and a letter of recommendation (at time of interview)
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher (Preferred GPA 3.2)
• Must be currently enrolled at a 4-year accredited College or University
• Must be a rising junior, senior or graduate student
• Must work 30-40 hours per week during the 10 week session
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work daily for the duration of the internship
