Requirements
Macmillan Learning is looking for a talented Training and Onboarding Coordinator to join the Hamilton, NJ office. This position will coordinate employment procedures for all newly hired employees to ensure efficient and service oriented onboarding as well as to develop ongoing training and professional development programs for current employees.
Responsibilities:
• Training new and current Sales Operations employees on proper procedures and work efficiency
• Develop standard training guides for current, new and open positions
• Liaise between sales, marketing and editorial groups to schedule training sessions
• Observe and conduct assessments to determine training needs of employees
• Respond to training requests suggested by managers
• Develop various training methods for different individual needs
• Promote efficiency, effectiveness and a positive attitude in the workplace
Onboarding processes for new employees in the Hamilton office
• Obtain all post offer documentation needed to complete employee file
• Process new hire paperwork
• Conduct new hire orientation
• Inform hiring managers of new employee status
• Coordinate system access and it login credentials
• Assist in recruitment for open positions
National Sales Meeting Planning and Preparation
• Coordinate logistics for National Sales Meeting
• Liaise between sales, marketing and editorial groups to plan sales meeting sessions
• Coordinate with hotel of choice to determine services needed
• Determine and foresee needs of those attending National Sales Meeting
Recruiting and Staffing
• Schedule interviews and phone screenings directly with candidates and managers for the Sales Operations team
• Provide follow up correspondence to candidates on recruiting status
• Identify employment needs and assist in recruiting activities as needed
• Participate in client meetings, conferences and job fairs as needed
Skills/Experience Required:
• Must be organized, motivated and able to multitask
• Be able to design, maintain and evaluate training programs
• Communication skills both written and verbal are imperative
• Must understand overall company policies, organization and procedures
• Knowledge of training methods and techniques is required
• Must have an understanding of high school and college textbook adoption/purchase processes
• Computer skills are necessary including an expert level knowledge of all company programs, Microsoft office and outlook
• Four year college degree is required, preferably paired with publishing experience
