We are seeking a Senior Producer to develop content and new partnerships. This position will require skills in editorial conceptualization and strategy, management and development of staff, onsite event execution, marketing, and research.
The Senior Producer will:
• Lead content development for events including conferences, on the record topical dinners, and speaker forums
• Work in close collaboration with other leaders within and outside the division to develop a successful content strategy that will build audience
• Engage with internal and external constituents throughout the program planning process from conception to development
• Helping lead overall editorial team efforts and manage colleagues leading their own events
Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:
• A deep editorial background (7+ years journalism/editorial leadership)
• Strong leadership skills, including experience managing staff and high-level editorial talent
• Experience with live production and stage craft (broadcast or live events experience preferred)
• Diverse multi-media skills, such as social media platforms, photo, video, and audio
• Strategic thinker with strong time-management and organizational skills; ability to successfully manage multiple projects with varying deadlines simultaneously
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent writing skills and experience reporting and writing for a news organization
• Capacity to work independently and under pressure, and to meet tight deadlines
