Job Title:
Sr. Client Partner
Job Summary:
Sr. Client Partner is a strategic leader responsible for developing, executing and refining a high-level strategy to ensure growth and profitability for existing business and supporting new business growth. This includes interacting with the client to develop and grow the relationships, negotiate contracts, and come to an agreement on scope and estimated costs of projects. As the “ultimate” advisor to the client, the Client Services Director must align the client’s expectations and SapientRazorfish’s deliverables in a way that will support the client success and outcomes that are meaningful to them. The role requires a thorough understanding of SapientRazorfish’s breadth of work driving digital transformation across engineering, creative, digital marketing, data and analytics, strategy and consulting services.
Primary Responsibilities:
Intake, Ideation and Planning
• Strategic leader, able to develop a corporate-level brief that is inspiring with a clear call-to-action to come up with an idea that will address the client's need.
• Identifies a clear outcome for internal teams along with how success will be measured.
• Deep understanding of the clients business, brand and category across multiple accounts.
• Works to develop proposals for large engagements
• Assemble well casted teams and identify clear outcomes for team(s) along with how success will be measured.
• Drive commercial contributions towards SapientRazorfish’s growth by pitching new business as well as driving overall portfolio profitability.
Issue and Risk Management
• Support Project Management in analyzing the key issues and risks in the program and assess business impact
• Ensure that the appropriate resources required to handle any emergent issues are located and acquired for a project
• Set project quality and performance standards. Assesses and manages risk within, and across, multiple projects
• Responsible to escalate as needed to SapientRazorfish leadership (MD) , legal, finance etc as appropriate.
Revenue Growth, Client Acquisition, Account Management
• Accountable for ensuring that Sr. Account Directors through to Account Managers are upholding the quality on all client deliverables set forth in the brief and that we are meeting our contractual obligations to the client on all fronts MSA and SOW level
• Effective Negotiations: Plays escalation role in driving toward our quarter close results leveraging relationships where need be to ensure we achieve expected outcomes.
• Provides coaching to team and participates in the preparation for all negotiations considering our intent, max limit position and where we can give for something in return
• Takes ownership of monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets aligned with SapientRazorfish's business goals and ensure contractual arrangements which hit the company's profit targets.
• Accountable for ensuring that the forecast for their portfolio of business is clean and updated in a timely manner
• Accountable for a thorough understanding of and the up to date maintenance of the P&L for their portfolio of business
Client Stewardship
• Align with VPs and SVPs as a Strategic Trusted Advisor and assist in marketing/budgeting planning process.
• Help develop and drive strategic initiatives for clients towards specific measurable business goals
• Establish relationship framework for the relationship in collaboration with the client
• Cascade client objectives to all team members to ensure consistency
• Stay abreast of client’s industry trends as well as trends in the digitally enabled world. This also includes how they affect client’s business and marketing initiatives
• Understand the client’s culture, capabilities, team structure, decision making process and take decisions to ensure success for the client
Team Stewardship / Capability Development
• Part of the region leadership helping to grow the Minneapolis office
• Attract, recruit and retain talent to grow the Client Services domain.
• Enhance the SapientRazorfish brand by driving award submissions and participating in internal thought leadership initiatives
• Develop and review accessible how-to guides and process guides for the scope of services
• Drive succession planning for the key roles on the account
• Write and publish articles or present at conferences
• Mentor team members in the domain
• Collaborate with staffing to make project allocation decisions.
• Act as a team advocate, creating mutual respect and cooperation between all team members, including people in other domains.
Business Development
• Articulate value proposition and distinctions between different kinds of service offerings. Generate demand for services through building awareness with new and existing clients
• Drive business development activities and client proposals
• Build and nurture relationships with senior clients, strategy and business development teams, to identify and develop new business opportunities
Experience Guidelines:
• 10-17 years of experience in an account management role in an agency environment
• Strong full services digital agency background a must
• Accountability for budget or client revenue of $10mm+
• 3+ years of client executive experience with primary accountability for peer-level client relationships at the Vice President and Senior Vice President levels
• Experienced with multiple campaign lifecycles from business development to final delivery
• Experience leading teams with multiple discipline representation (especially technology, creative, delivery, product management, data and strategy)
• Frequent travel may be required
Education:
Degree or equivalent military experience
