Graphic Designer - Consumer Revenue
I. Job Summary
| Major goals and objectives.
The Graphic Designer assists with the print and digital promotional design initiatives for all Meredith products and Meredith partnerships. This position assists in the conceptualization and execution of promotional design that is innovative, cost-effective, on time and meets all technical requirements.
Involvement in all print and digital programs handled in this office. Impacts, through effective design, all magazine, product and book customers helps Consumer Revenue managers achieve their program objectives.
This position has significant impact on the quality of direct mail, print and digital online promotions, migrating orders online, communication to our magazine and book customers and significantly aids Consumer Revenue managers in meeting their goals.

Design new promotional pieces and alterations for all programs, including new prospect, Internet, digital, renewals, billing, gift, inserts, space ads and special projects.

Proof design at all stages (layout and final art) and works with legal department to ensure it meets legal, postal, departmental and Meredith standards.

Works closely with copywriters on own projects to ensure copy is clearly understood and appropriate graphic execution is achieved

Continually institutes and learns effective new ideas by studying competitor's materials, attending focus groups and presentations, and other means.
III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements| All must be met to be considered.
Education:
College Degree in Design, Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent training/experience
Experience:
Minimum 1 year in direct response designing. Directly related internships or academic work may be considered in lieu of experience.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to work independently and in team environment
• Proficient computer skills in design programs including Adobe Suite applications (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver) and MS Office applications
• Meet multiple and changing deadlines
• Must be collaborative
• Demonstrate ability to formulate creative and original promotional ideas
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, and prioritize tasks
• Must have a demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
• Must be detail oriented, have strong organizational skills, and demonstrated interpersonal skills
