The Vice President, Client Operations is a dynamic leader who provides both the operational and general day to day management of the Client Services Department. This includes providing the department with vision, business strategy, and oversight of day to day operations and supervision to the following functions: Client Services and Support, Creative Services and Support, Content Producers, Ticketing Operations, Credential Procurement, Fulfillment Operations, Field Operations, and Box Office Operations.
Job Duties:
1. Organize, spearhead, and manage all portions of client preparation and development. Manage the fulfillment of clear client/partner needs to ensure long term contract stability and business growth.
2. Create a collaborative, efficient environment between teams and departments by streamlining internal processes. Foster teamwork and strong morale amongst employees.
3. Set department goals and provide guidance to the team to successfully achieve these goals. Lead growth and timely development of operational teams as well as the management of multiple projects simultaneously within each operational team.
4. Initiate long term internal projects for teams that will contribute to the Shed’s overall performance and evolution within the market. Ensure proper team resource management and adherence to client contract terms through the delegation to management team.
5. Act as a liaison with team, including partner’s operational team and other areas as needed to ensure efficient operational performance.
6. Maintain open and complete communications of client issues with the leadership team and senior management.
7. Develop and align workforce strategies to address key business plans and facilitate organizational change initiatives.
8. Create and maintain strong business relationships with high profile, high revenue clients to ensure a strong, longstanding relationship
9. Manage and execute on all client operations and activities, including implementation, event creation, application support, event box office, customer service, reporting, settlements, and other client obligations
Required Qualifications:
1. A minimum education level of a Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year) in Business, Finance, or a related area
2. 10 Years of ticketing and live event experience including 5+ years experience of senior/executive level operations management.
3. Highly developed and disciplined work ethic, accountability and follow through
4. Ability to maneuver through various financial and operational reports and convey needs, expectations and direction to operational staff
5. Ability to manage, lead, develop, and hold department staff accountable
6. A team player, able to effectively interact with all aspects of the business (internal as well as external clients)
7. Solid financial and analytical skills including sound business judgment
8. Proactive and decisive leader with excellent communication skills and a strategic mindset
9. Excels in high pressure environments
10. Ability to travel for significant portions of time and occasionally with limited notice
Preferred Qualifications (if applicable):
1. Master’s Degree preferred
2. Live event production experience
