We're looking for a Events and Engagement Manager to join our team in New York.

As the Events and Engagement Manager, you’ll be part of the growing marketing team, working with IAS’ cross-functional teams, as well as clients and partners to drive all aspects of a company-wide communications strategy. You will support our B2B Marketing strategy with a particular focus on event execution, partnership management, and developing our voice in the industry through management of our social platforms. This role is the creative lead that brings alive the IAS brand with killer offline and online experiences for our prospects, customers, employees, and future talent.
You will support the strategic planning, execution and oversight of company events including trade shows, conferences, roadshows, webinars, proprietary events, client entertainment, and internal corporate events. You will manage all elements of a program including proposal creation, budget development and reconciliation, and logistics.
You are a team player, who can multi-task, have attention to detail, and believe that events are the ultimate brand experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Work in partnership with product marketing, communications, HR, and executives to align key objectives, brand expression, messaging and positioning
• Analyze event, industry and competitive data to drive strategic recommendations and improve effectiveness and efficiency of events
• Create detailed proposals and briefing documents for all events, including timelines, agenda, layouts, venues, vendors, staffing, and budgets
• Manage client, employee, and executive briefings, logistic management and pre-event strategic planning
• Manage all aspects of audiovisual production & staging, venue selection, contract negotiation, employee promotions, rooming lists, staffing schedules, and overall vendor coordination
• Collaborate with the Brand and Design team to develop promotional strategy, brand activations, and production of events that bring alive the IAS identity
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Operations to drive an ROI strategy and framework to measure impact of our marketing activations
• Conduct quarterly reporting to quantify event performance, social media activities
• Identify speaking opportunities at trade industry events and pitch content and ideas inside and outside of tech sector
• Manage corporate engagements across proprietary live/digital events, as well as external industry conferences and trade shows
• Lead & develop social strategy in collaboration with the Content team, including LinkedIn, FB & Twitter. Formulate content plan to drive new followers and engagement across our platforms
• Manage social media activities and campaigns
• Coordinate event-related social media and marketing
Requirements
• 5+ years of events, marketing and/or communications experience. Media, technology brand, and/or advertising experience preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English, Journalism or Marketing
• Excellent judgment, special event execution and ability to juggle multiple assignments in fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with virtual events and platforms
• Comfortable managing social platforms and creating new strategies to increase engagement with target audiences. Sprout Social or similar platform knowledge preferred.
• Excellent writing skills, ability to work well under pressure, meet constant deadlines
• Excellent verbal communication skills, ability to think in a global capacity and the ability to communicate in a clear and persuasive manner
• Self-motivated, collaboration skill and and eye for detail; customer-centric and experience minded
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and building/maintaining collaborative relationships.
