Job Description
Scheduler
Job Summary: Position will support the Labor Optimization Department's efforts towards implementing policies and procedures focused on scheduling improvements, which includes overseeing the effective use of park labor resources across the departments in order to ensure Six Flags Atlanta is positioned to deliver a superior guest experience and operational excellence. Position will serve as a resource to departments and employees to optimize the availability of labor based on the needs of the park. $9.25hr
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist Labor Optimization Manager to implement a comprehensive scheduling system focused on improving scheduling of employees to include the distribution of individual schedules.
• Actively manage labor resources within and across departments to meet labor needs.
• Ensure departmental schedules completed on a timely basis and they optimize use of available staff.
• Review and analyze schedules to identify and implement opportunities to gain ongoing improvements in labor optimization tools.
• Assist in managing requests for additional hours, address situations where employees are under-utilized based on their availability, and monitor the park's effective use of its budgeted hours.
• Ensure all company and departmental policies and procedures are followed.
• Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Must be professional, self-motivated, and have a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work productively across various departments.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work well under pressure and multi-task.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Products with an emphasis in Excel.
• Ability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week from February to October with hours scaled back for Holiday In The Park
Park operation.
• Flexible schedule required with ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Additional Job Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time.
• Must be able to walk up to 3 miles per day over various surfaces.
