The Technical Project Manager is accountable for high quality execution of systems development projects as directed by Executive Management to achieve short and long term financial, operational and strategic objectives. The core responsibility of this role is to manage and prioritize a portfolio of projects through analysis and the use of project management methodology.
• Responsible for executing complex domestic and international customer facing projects by working with peer departments and cross-functional teams.
• Establish project management plans, identify needed resources for projects, identify risks and project issues, provide project oversight, define project acceptance criteria, and drive projects to completion.
• Responsible for the collection, validation and communication of relevant metrics and reporting to executive management.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and with high quality.
• Proactively identify and manage program and systemic issues that impact the critical path to full resolution - identify and mitigate risks - properly communicate program status and escalate issues/risks when needed.
• Define and develop the milestones and schedules for projects and new products. Ensure timely completion of schedule completion.
• Assist in the creation of tools/processes/procedures that will be used by Technical Project Management and other cross-functional teams.
• Keep team members updated on corporate initiatives, policies, and procedures.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree with major course work in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field is required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum (5) year proven project management experience including major change management initiatives.
• Previous experience in a publicly held company essential. Gaming industry experience preferred or within a highly regulated environment.
• Lead business unit or enterprise level projects.
• Work with business units to prioritize projects.
• Manage all aspects of program/project budgets.
• Implement resource allocation & utilization models.
PMP or related Certification preferred. Proven ability in data analysis, interpretation and reporting is required. Previous experience in systems implementation. Previous experience in resource planning within a field force environment. Must be able to establish rapport with all levels of the organization. Excellent skills required in working across multi-functional teams and supporting business units. Must possess excellent communication skills. Must be able to work on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible factors. Must have strong analytical abilities. Must be able to work independently. Must be a creative, forward, positive thinker and team oriented. Must have proficient knowledge in Project management, Process Mapping
