Position Summary
The Digital Product Analyst will work closely with product engineering, marketing, and project management to analyze and understand the Local Now customer, the product lifecycle and help launch new products for our Local Now and Weather Channel Digital platforms. The Digital Product Analyst is a core member to the Local Now and Weather Digital agile scrum team.
The Digital Product Analyst will support Product Management drive and execute product strategy and the product roadmap with: competitive analysis, analysis of product data, and writing product requirements documents and user-stories. The Product Analyst will also partner with the Design team on helping inform product design decisions by writing audience surveys and by collecting and analyzing audience feedback.
The successful candidate is highly analytical, customer focused, results-driven, self-motivated and highly collaborative.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct market research including data analysis tools to identify trends, what upgrades can be introduced to the product and monitor the competition.
• Write product requirements, user-stories, and user-acceptance test cases.
• Develop and drive the performance of various aspects of the product, monitor performance against sales projections and help with projecting margin for products.
• Understand existing customers and/or potential users to obtain feedback, evaluate competitive offerings for differentiated features.
• Build competitive analyses and presentations.
• Perform detailed market and user research.
• Help identify new and emerging technologies and trends.
• Work with senior product management and product development teammates to identify, plan, and author requirements for new feature or platform performance analytics.
• Assist in the management of 3rd party product development costs to deliver core features.
• Assist in managing the product lifecycle for a set of data driven features from ideation and requirements, pricing and development through launch. This includes rationalization of existing features and products.
• Work with senior product management teammates on product roadmap planning and release strategy.
Education, Experience, Certification Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a technology or business related field
• 3+ year’s professional experience required in product management field
• Experience with data analysis, marketing, database management, and/or general support
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• A sense of energy and passion for products and team as well as a willingness to learn
• Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable goals
• Critical thinking skills to recommend ideas, plans, and actions
• Excellent communication skills including presentation skills of data, research and, analytics
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience at a start-up or media company preferred
• Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across every department
• Must be a self- motivated and proactive person that will thrive in a fast-paced environment and able to work with all levels in the organization
• Strong presentation skills that includes content development for a variety of internal and external audiences

Hours
