The Role:
• Assists in directing and coordinating the activities relating to Marketing and Public Relations for HOBE. As a member of the Marketing team, your role is to coordinate all Marketing efforts on a show-by-show and venue basis.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Marketing Manager with development, implementation, and execution of strategic venue marketing plans. Assist with media buys, branding strategies, and promotional communication projects for both venues.
◦ May create, develop and maintain venue marketing collateral for show segments (rack cards, promotional fliers, posters, calendars.
◦ Coordinate on-sales and pre-sales shows with the Talent department.
◦ Responsible for show related guest relations/public relations and community outreach programs
◦ Develop & communicate marketing initiatives for cross-selling business segment opportunities
◦ Implementation and execution of national marketing and sponsorship plans for show events
◦ Partners with marketing and advertising agencies/consultants/ freelancers and other marketing suppliers, including contract management
◦ Assists Promotions Manager in ordering of promotional flyers. This will also include creating and distributing “AD PACKS" when requested for shows.
◦ Schedule online buys and promo as well as generating newsletters for both venues in addition to e-cards
◦ Assist in creating venue flyers. Coordinate with in-house flyer team for pickups, drop offs, hits and specialty runs.
• Handle day of show activities/ promotions
• Compile post event analysis and settlement packages
• Review invoices for accuracy and approve for payment
• Direct the maintenance and update of press and contact lists (radio, television, print, web)
• Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in public relations or related degree,
• 3-5 years marketing experience.
• Detail-oriented and able to coordinate multiple work streams under deadline pressure
• Ability to take initiative, problem solve and perform research
• General knowledge of music, sports, theater, and family events
• Knowledge of concert promotion and live event business
• Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing
• Knowledge of the principles of target marketing
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Graphic design knowledge a plus
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
• Work environment is fast-paced
• Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing, bending, stooping, telephonic communications, and reaching
• Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
