The Video Associate Producer will, working closely with the Lead Producer, Senior Video Producer, Video Editor and Director of Digital Communications (in addition to other stakeholders) support the video department with various tasks and responsibilities related to the creation of videos intended for Heinemann products and marketing campaigns. Primary role will be assisting the Lead Producer in a variety of support roles.
Duties will include preparing, organizing, and archiving media and editing projects, graphic creation, and basic video and motion graphics editing. With a principal focus on organization and overall departmental support, the successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven video department, and be adept at prioritizing tasks for multiple, concurrent projects. Core responsibilities include supporting the Lead Producer with pre-and post-production tasks, as well as sharing some operational duties, such as generating documentation to assist with departmental status updates, organizing and sharing media, and assisting with travel arrangements and booking freelancers. While the Associate Producer will primarily be assisting with specific tasks across multiple projects, there will be opportunities to edit projects through to final approvals, motion graphic creation, podcast production and more. This person will play a key role in optimizing digital media sourced from various contributors and devices, and will help maintain consistent procedures and protocols for delivery of media to the web or social media platforms. The Video Associate Producer will also help to develop and maintain brand consistency in all video deliverables and be a key contributor in organizing digital archives. The position requires excellent communication skills, strong, demonstrable organizational skills with close attention to detail and schedules, and the ability to work quickly to assist with last-minute requests. The Video Associate Producer must be a team player with good problem-solving ability, and have knowledge of and interest in current trends and best practices in video, motion graphics, and social media, and have a wholehearted passion for video work.
Education Level and or relevant experience
Two or four-year degree with 1–3 years experience in broadcast production, production house experience, or other video marketing or video experience
Knowledge and skills
Adobe Premiere, Adobe AfterEffects, Camtasia, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram Video. Knowledge of Final Cut Pro a plus.

Physical Requirements:
• Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).

• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.
