We are looking for a high-impact leader with deep experience in consumer-facing product management to
be the VP of Product to own the product strategy and roadmap for all of Condé Nast’s products including
all our brand websites, native apps, and third party partnerships. This role is a key member of the
company’s operating leadership team, will manage a group of product managers, and own key financial
and customer goals.
This role will be a valued partner for our editorial and business teams and will be expected to drive a
strategy clear and cohesive strategy across everything we do. We are looking for someone who
understands and values the cultural impact our brands have and can continue to have, while also bringing
strong product thinking that will push us into new territory.
Responsibilities:
● Create and own the product roadmap and strategy.
● Develop a clear product vision that aligns with the company vision.
● Create a strategy for broadening our approach to consumer revenue outside of traditional
magazine subscription and advertising business models.
● Partner strongly with engineering and design as part of product development leadership.
● Partner strongly with editorial, sales and other groups and evangelize product’s role in the
company.
● Work with external partners to further grow product and business opportunities.
● Create an iterative, experiment driven product culture that is innovative and can take calculated
risks.
● Build a world class product team and develop, grow, and retain talent.
● Partner with engineering and design on creating and maintaining a great culture.
● Drive a clear and transparent product planning process.
● Manage and lead a team of over 20 product managers.
Qualifications
● 15+ years product experience with 5+ years managing and leading teams.
● Experience at consumer product companies with modern consumer revenue driven business
models.
● Experience with advertising based business models.
● Experience creating product strategies and roadmaps at a high level.
● Experience in organizations with a customer focused approach to product development.
● Comfortable presenting and communicating to large groups and to top-level executives.
● Experience working with partners like Facebook and Google.
● Able to create collaborative, positive cultures that people want to work in.
● Experience with, and knowledgeable of, the media industry.
● Passion for Condé Nast’s brands.
● Collaborative and able to work with and get buy-in from people in many different functions.
● Comfortable with change and able to move quickly and adapt as the industry and company
evolve.
