Technical Project Manager | FanSided
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
FanSided is seeking an self-driven, agile Technical Project Manager to join of the fastest growing sports, entertainment, and lifestyle network on the Internet. The Technical Project Manager will be a part of FanSided’s Product team in Scottsdale, AZ, which develops on and maintains an extensive network of websites, APIs, and iOS and Android apps.
As a part of our team, you will:
• Provide Project Management support to Development / Product teams utilizing Agile & Kanban processes
• Lead the team through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and identify/mitigate risks to lower the impact to the project
• Be able to speak to questions or requests from business and technology owners
• Assist with and escalate issues that cannot be resolved within the team
• Drive team meetings and document and distribute action items
• Serve as a business analyst when needed and document functional requirement and workflows, prioritize features and drive project scope as needed
• Coordinate project resources to align with the Company’s overall product roadmap
• Optimize current Project Management processes for efficiencies
• Manage 3rd Party vendor relationships
• Maximize developer productivity through tools, scheduling and project support
You have:
• Passion for technology, a desire to share knowledge, and a deep-rooted need to always be learning
• Excellent organization, presentation, verbal and written communication skills
• a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other relevant field, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience leading technical projects
• 1+ year of experience as a Scrum Master and/or Agile advocate
• Experience working with JIRA or similar project management tools
• Experience working in media/publishing industry is a plus
