Job Description

The Digital Content Producer is responsible for creating content for all digital platforms along with developing and implementing a multi-screen strategy, including web, apps, and social sites that increase synergies between on-air and digital content.
Responsibilities:
• Management of the station’s digital platforms including online, mobile and all emerging social media, to include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and all others to come.
• Motivate, influence, train and develop a sense of urgency for station staff to advance social platforms and best practices in their daily course of work.
• Grow station’s digital department efforts, “owns the role”.
• Lead and contribute to the development of strategic and tactical digital media plans.
• Understand all measurement metrics including Facebook Insights, Omniture, comScore, Google Analytics, Brightcove Video, Chartbeat, Twitter Counter, and all.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
• College degree in journalism, marketing or mass communications.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Metric tools and SEO best practices are required.
• Must be highly motivated, creative and aggressive in driving digital performance.
• Excellent writing, organization skills are required along with ability to aggregate daily/hourly trends to present at news meetings.
• Must be a multitasker who can plan for special projects and major news events, including breaking news coverage.
• Flexible schedule required, to include holidays and weekends.
• Knowledge of local television workflow, processes and systems is preferred.
